Abstract:
This reverse-input cutoff clutch is configured by combining: a reverse-input cutoff mechanism (1) for, in a state where an outer ring (5) disposed radially outward of an output shaft (output side member) (4) arrested so as to be unrotatable, transmitting rotation of an input shaft (input side member) (3) to the output shaft (4) and blocking rotation of the output shaft (4) in response to reverse-input torque applied to the output shaft (4) by locking the output shaft (4) with the outer ring (5); and an operation control mechanism (2) for, when not being operated, arresting the outer ring (5) of the reverse-input cutoff mechanism (1) so as to be unrotatable, and releasing the outer ring (5) so as to be rotatable by means of a manual operation. Thus, if the operation control mechanism (2) is not operated, it is possible to obtain a state where the rotation of the output shaft (4) in response to reverse-input torque is blocked, and the operation control mechanism (2) can be easily switched, simply by a manual operation thereof, to a state where the rotation of the output shaft (4) in response to reverse-input torque is permitted.
