Abstract:
The present invention relates to a reverse input blocking clutch provided with an outer ring member and a coil spring and aims to prevent the occurrence of vibration caused by frictional sliding between the outer ring member, which consists of a sintered member, and the coil spring. A reverse input blocking clutch is conventionally configured in such a manner that, when a reverse input acts from an output shaft (13), rolling members (17) are caused to bite into the inner wall of an outer ring member (14) and are brought to a locked state. In the reverse input blocking clutch of the present invention, when rotating an output shaft (13) by means of an input shaft (12), the output shaft (13) is allowed to rotate together with an outer ring member (14) while the locked state is maintained, thereby preventing intermittent rotation. During this process, this outer ring member (14) slides with friction against coil springs (19), however, vibration and noise do not occur because the outer surface of the outer ring member (14) has been subjected to machining which reduces the surface roughness.
