Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a reverse input blocking clutch that is capable of easily canceling a state in which the rotation of an output member is either prevented or suppressed. [Solution] This reverse input blocking clutch 5 is provided with input members 14, an output member 15, a to-be-pressed member 16, and engagement elements 17. When a rotary torque is inputted to the input members 14, the engagement elements 17 are moved in directions from a to-be-pressed surface 28 of the to-be-pressed member 16 upon engagement with the input members 14, transmits the rotary torque inputted to the input members 14 to the output member 15 upon engagement with the output member 15, whereas when a rotary torque is reverse-inputted to the output member 15, the engagement elements 17 are moved in directions toward the to-be-pressed surface 28 upon engagement with the output member 15 and is pressed against the to-be-pressed surface 28 so as either to refrain from transmitting the rotary torque reverse-inputted to the output member 15 to the input members 14 or to transmit a part of said rotary torque to the input members 14 upon engagement with the input members 14.
