Abstract:

Provided is a retention member for an exhaust gas processing device with excellent retention properties that has excellent heat resistance and excellent initial surface pressure, can maintain a high surface pressure even after being repeatedly compressed, and is capable of effectively maintaining a retaining force even after having been used for a long time. The retention member for an exhaust gas processing device is disposed in a gap between an exhaust gas processing body and a casing accommodating the exhaust gas processing body, and is characterized by comprising a wet molded body containing inorganic fibers, having a basis weight of 1600 to 3000 g/m2, and having a bulk density of 0.125 to 0.205 g/cm3.
