Abstract:
Provided are: a resin retainer capable of suppressing initial leakage of grease; and a roller bearing provided with said retainer. A retainer 5 is a resin retainer for a crown-shaped roller bearing, the retainer having a plurality of pockets 52, each of which opens on one side in the axial direction and holds a ball, i.e., a rolling element. The retainer has a connecting part 54 that connects the pockets 52 adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, and the connecting part 54 has, on an end surface thereof on the pocket opening side, an inclined surface 56 inclined with respect to the radial direction when observed in a cross-section view taken along the axial direction. The connecting part 54 has a wall thickness ho (mm) at an outer diameter side end section Eo, which is less than the wall thickness hi (mm) at an inner diameter side end section Ei.
