Abstract:
Provided is a recovery method for efficiently recovering a weak acid cation exchange resin that has adsorbed a hardness component. This invention is a method for recovering a sodium-type weak acid cation exchange resin that has been used in a softening treatment for water to be treated that contains a hardness component, wherein the method comprises a first recovery treatment step in which a mineral acid is brought into contact with the weak acid cation exchange resin and a second recovery treatment step in which, after the contact with the mineral acid, an aqueous solution of a sodium-containing alkali compound is brought into contact with the weak acid cation exchange resin.
