Abstract:
A recording device having an ink tank for storing ink supplied from an ink bottle, and a head to which ink from the ink tank is supplied, said recording device also having a determination means for determining a value associated with consumption of the ink in the ink bottle on the basis of a value associated with consumption of the ink in the ink tank, and a transmission means for transmitting, to a server, information indicating the value associated with the consumption of the ink in the ink bottle, when the value associated with the consumption of the ink in the ink bottle reaches a prescribed threshold value. A process for ordering a new ink bottle is carried out on the basis of the amount of ink in the ink bottle that has been consumed.
