Abstract:
A radial foil bearing (26) comprises a top foil (80) and a housing (60). A body part (81) of the top foil (80) has a first side edge part (81a) that is on the front side in the rotational direction (P) of a rotary shaft (35) and a second side edge part (81b) that is on the rear side in the rotational direction (P). The first side edge part (81a) is positioned further to the outside in the radial direction of the housing (60) than the second side edge part (81b). An inner circumferential surface of the housing (60) has formed therein a through groove (61) that accommodates the first side edge part (81a). The through groove (61) is formed such that the depth direction thereof coincides with the radial direction.
