[Problem] To provide a push-button switch which has a very smooth operation of a push button, is not liable to the occurrence of failure, and is suitable for use in gaming apparatus. [Solution] A push-button switch comprising: an outer cylinder member provided with a bottom surface portion and an opening in an upper surface; a push button comprising a rod provided with a planar pressing portion having an enlarged peripheral portion at the top, and an inner cylinder portion extending from the peripheral portion of the planar pressing portion downward via a cylindrical air-gap on the outside of an outer peripheral surface of the rod, the push button being accommodated in the outer cylinder member; a lift-urging member disposed in the cylindrical air-gap; and a contact switch attached in a position opposing the lower surface of the rod at the bottom surface portion of the outer cylinder member. The push-button switch is characterized by comprising a spherical body circulation groove which is formed in an outer peripheral surface of the inner cylinder portion of the rod, and in which a plurality of spherical bodies are accommodated so as to be able to execute endless circulation while in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder member. The lift-urging member may be disposed on the bottom portion of the push button.
