Abstract:
The invention concerns a pulse former which forms pulses controlling the formation of a discrete scanning pattern on the screen of a cathode ray tube. It comprises a pulse forming unit for producing pulses corresponding to the position of the electron beam on the screen of the cathode ray tube; a video signal forming unit; a unit for defining the line sharpness; a pulse delay unit for delaying the pulses corresponding to the position of the electron beam on the screen of the cathode ray tube; and a switch. The output of the pulse forming unit is connected to the first input of the switch, the input of the unit for determining the line sharpness, and the input of the pulse delay unit. The output of the unit for defining the line sharpness is connected to the second input of the switch whose output is connected to the input of the video signal forming unit; the output of the pulse delay unit is connected to the switch output. The pulse delay unit is a pulse inverter. The switch and pulse inverter take the form of an EXCLUSIVE OR logic element.
