The present invention provides a providing device comprising: a real space information acquisition unit that acquires real-space position information about a real object in a real space in which a user is present; a virtual space information acquisition unit that acquires virtual-space position information about a virtual object present in a virtual space; a user action determination unit that determines whether or not the user has performed a certain action with respect to the real object in the real space; and a virtual space providing unit that makes the real-space position information and the virtual-space position information consistent with each other, and when the user action determination unit determines that the user has performed the certain action with respect to the real object in the real space, generates a transitional image indicating a state between the real space and the virtual space, and provides a transitional space including the transitional image before providing the virtual space to the user.
