Abstract:
This protective element comprises: a fuse element comprising a first end part and a second end part, where electricity flows from the first end part toward the second end part; a protrusion member and a depression member which are positioned in opposition so as to sandwich a cutoff part; and a pressing means which imparts an elastic force such that the relative distance between the protrusion member and the depression member is shortened in a first direction which is the direction in which the cutoff part is sandwiched. At least one pair of opposing surfaces of a protrusion part of the protrusion member and a depression part of the depression member, being orthogonal to the electricity flow direction in the fuse element, is positioned so as to be in proximity to each other in plan view from the first direction. The fuse element is cut off at a temperature greater than or equal to the softening temperature of the material forming the fuse element.
