Title:
PROPORTIONAL ROTARY TORQUER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/091077
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Salient poles (3a, 3a) are formed on a rotor core (3) such that their surfaces opposed to permanent magnets (1a, 1b) are each formed of an arc whose radius varies according to places, its middle and its borders. Further, the angle between the lines which connect the border ends of the salient poles (3a, 3a) and the center of rotation is about 100 °or more. The permanent magnets (1a, 1b) are formed of arcuate surfaces whose center positions differ from each other such that the thickness (B) of each magnetic pole border portion is about 90-95% of the thickness (A) of the magnetic pole center portion. Thereby, for a given exciting current to a rotor coil (5), the magnetic torque becomes constant in a relative rotational angle range of 90 °or above between the rotor core (3) and a yoke (2), the magnetic torque increasing in proportion to the exciting current. Further, if the exciting current is reversely applied, the magnetic torque is reversed in direction.
