Abstract:
In the present invention, a water-impermeable cover (30), which is provided with an opening part extending so as to approach an opening part of a holding ring (26) of a propeller shaft (stub shaft (8) in this case), is provided at a position on the opening-part side of the holding ring (26). The water-impermeable cover (30) is fixed in a position on the opening-part side of the holding ring (26) of the stub shaft (8), and the opening part of the water-impermeable cover (30) is extended so as to approach the opening part of the holding ring (26); therefore, even if muddy water, etc., scatters obliquely from the opening-part side of the holding ring (26), the risk of muddy water, etc., entering the opening part of the holding ring (26) is minimized, and as a result, instances of muddy water, etc., entering the interior of a center bearing (19) can be made less likely to occur.
