Abstract:
The projection optical system according to the present disclosure is provided with: an intermediate image forming lens group that forms, from an image-to-be-projected side toward a projection-surface side, an intermediate image of the image to be projected; and a concave mirror that is disposed on an optical path following the formation of the intermediate image and forms a projected image on the projection surface, wherein the intermediate image forming lens group comprises an operating group that performs focus adjustment by moving on an optical axis, and the operating group includes a concave lens having an aspherical surface.
