Abstract:
In order to provide a headup display device achieving a wide view angle, while employing a system of reflecting image light by a windshield, a headup display device (110) includes an image forming unit (10) that displays image information, and a projection optical system including an eyepiece optical system 5 that displays a virtual image by reflecting light outputted from the image forming unit (10). The eyepiece optical system (5) includes a first optical element (51) having negative refractive power, a second optical element (52) having positive refractive power, and a concave reflecting mirror (54). The eyepiece optical system is configured by disposing the first optical element (51), the second optical element (52), and the reflecting mirror (54) in this order from the image forming unit side.
