Title:
PROJECTION IMAGING OPTICAL SYSTEM AND PROJECTION-TYPE IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/149537
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The projection imaging optical system according to the present disclosure is used for a projection-type image display device. The present invention comprises: a projection lens that forms a first image on a first plane using a light beam of projection light emitted in the front direction along a first optical axis from a light modulation element; a prism optical system that deflects and emits, along a second optical axis, a light beam of imaging light which is at least part of light beams of external light entering through the projection lens and which propagates, from the first plane, in the direction opposed to the front direction, wherein an intermediate image is formed inside the prism optical system by the light beam of the imaging light; and an imaging optical system that forms a second image on a second plane using a light beam of imaging light emitted from the prism optical system. The first plane and the position of the intermediate image have conjugate relation with respect to the projection lens. The projection lens is configured to have aberration correcting performance for the first image. The prism optical system and the imaging optical system are configured to have, in cooperation with the projection lens, aberration correcting performance for the second image.
