Abstract:
One aspect of the present disclosure provides a production method for an aluminum-diamond composite that has a step for providing a layered structure that includes a composition layer that contains a diamond powder inside an opening part of a flat porous material such that the layered structure is separated from an inner circumferential surface of the opening part and a step for pressing a metal molten material that contains aluminum between the porous material and the layered structure and impregnating the composition layer with the molten material to form a composite part that contains aluminum and diamond while also forming a metal layer at at least a side surface of the layered structure, the layered structure comprising, in order, a first mold release plate, a first inorganic layer, the composition layer, a second inorganic layer, and a second mold release plate.
