Abstract:
This production assistance device comprises: an imaging unit that is applied to a component mounting machine which performs mounting processing for mounting a component on a substrate, and that captures an image of the component mounted on the substrate via the mounting processing so as to acquire image data; a causal event determination unit that determines whether a causal event has occurred that could lead to a change in the operating status of the component mounting machine; and a storage unit that, if it is determined that a causal event has occurred by the causal event determination unit, stores, as image data to be stored, a prescribed number of items of image data or image data within a prescribed time period before and after the occurrence of the causal event, such image data having been acquired by the imaging unit.
