Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a configuration which can contribute to extending the life of a steam trap. [Solution] A pressure reduction mechanism (10) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided on the upstream side of a steam trap (12), and comprises a pressure reduction unit. The pressure reduction unit comprises a flow passage narrowing part (32), and the flow passage narrowing part partitions and forms a hole (32H) which extends in a flow direction and which has dimensions that permit the flow of steam. For example, the flow passage narrowing part has a substantially flat surface facing the upstream side in the flow direction, and the flow passage narrowing part is formed so that the hole opens on the surface and the hole has an substantially constant cross-section area in the flow direction.
