Abstract:
A pressure plate device 11 for a friction clutch, said device being provided between a clutch disc part 4 of a friction clutch 1 and a spring device 12, comprises a primary push plate 19, a secondary push plate 22 capable of moving toward and away from the primary push plate 19, and a plurality of weight plates 23 slidably positioned between opposing side surfaces 19a, 22a of the primary push plate 19 and the secondary push plate 22. The primary push plate 19 includes a first outer peripheral wall 25 having an inclined inner wall surface 24, the secondary push plate 22 includes a second outer peripheral wall 28 having an upright inner wall surface 27, and the weight plates 23 include tip end engaging surfaces that engage with the upright inner wall surface 27 and tip end inclined surfaces 32 that engage with the inclined inner wall surface 24.
