Abstract:

A press-fit joint structure used for joining members forming a metal element part, easy to produce and excellent in economic effect, and having high finish accuracy and strength. In a press-fit joint structure, a first member (2) having a hole portion (13) with the same cross section in a portion to be pressed in and a second member (4) having a similar shape to the hole portion (13) and having a specific cross section are used. A press-fit interference of the second member (4) to the hole portion (13) of the first member (2) is set to 0.1 mm or more. The second member (4) is pressed to the hole portion (13) of the first member (2) at a predetermined pressure, and electricity is conducted through both members so as to generate electric resistance heat in the joining portion of both members. The second member (4) is then pressed into the hole portion (13), so that a joint interface is formed at the joint face portion between the second member (4) and an inner wall face portion of the hole portion (13), and the joint is made in a solid phase state.
