Abstract:
Provided is a power transmitting device (3) disposed in a power transmitting path extending from the output shaft (7) of the internal combustion engine (2) of a vehicle (1) to a transmission (4). The power transmitting device (3) is provided with: a dynamo-electric machine (5) disposed coaxially with the output shaft; and a shifting device (9) which is disposed adjacent to both the power transmitting device and the dynamo-electric machine and which, between the rotor (11) of the dynamo-electric machine and the outer shell of the power transmitting device, or a jointly rotating member (8) rotating along with the outer shell, is capable of mechanically switching between at least two power transmitting paths having different reduction ratios.
