Abstract:
[Problem] To enable switching the mode of a two-speed transmission, which is capable of switching between two stages of high and low speed reduction ratios, to a parking lock mode; to prevent the two-speed transmission from being inadvertently switched to the parking lock mode; and, as necessary, to reduce power that is required for cancelling the parking lock mode. [Solution] When a two-speed transmission 1 is to be switched to a parking lock mode, on the basis of rotational driving of a drive cam (50) by an electric actuator (58), a power transmission path switching device (5) is switched to a first mode in which a frictional engagement device (40) is connected and a rotation transmission state switching device (41) is in a free mode, and then the rotation transmission state switching device (41) is switched to a lock mode with the frictional engagement device (40) being maintained in the connected state. When the parking lock mode is to be cancelled, the frictional engagement device (40) is disconnected, with the lock mode of the rotation transmission state switching device (41) being maintained, so as to switch the power transmission path switching device (5) to the first mode.
