Abstract:
[Problem] To suppress an increase in size of a power transmission device. [Solution] This power transmission device for a vehicle includes: a housing that accommodates a power transmission mechanism; a control valve that controls the pressure of oil supplied to the power transmission mechanism; a heat exchanger that cools the oil; a first chamber that accommodates the power transmission mechanism; and a second chamber in which the control valve is vertically disposed, wherein the housing has a case, a first cover that is joined to the case from the rotation axis direction of the power transmission mechanism and forms the first chamber together with the case, and a second cover that is joined to the case from a vehicle front side as seen from the rotation axis direction of the power transmission mechanism and forms a second chamber together with the case, the heat exchanger is attached to the first cover from the vehicle front side, and the heat exchanger is provided in a positional relationship overlapping the control valve as seen from the rotation axis direction of the power transmission mechanism.
