Abstract:
A power transmission device for an electric vehicle equipped with an engine and a motor, the power transmission device being capable of transmitting the power of the engine and the motor to a drive wheel separately or simultaneously, wherein: a counter shaft disposed on a power transmission path between an input shaft, which is connected to a rotation shaft of the engine, and an output shaft connected to a driveshaft that drives the drive wheel, and a counter shaft disposed on a power transmission path between a motor shaft, which is connected to a rotation shaft of the motor, and the output shaft, are configured from a common counter shaft; the input shaft, the motor shaft, the output shaft, and the common counter shaft are disposed in the same axial direction; and as viewed from the same axial direction, the center position of the common counter shaft is disposed on the inner side of a virtual triangle formed by connecting the centers of the input shaft, the motor shaft, and the output shaft.
