Abstract:
There has been a problem in conventional power supply apparatuses that semiconductor elements are needed to be provided with mechanisms for directly monitoring a junction temperature of the semiconductor elements. This power supply apparatus has: a power supply control unit (12) that outputs a PWM signal having a duty ratio corresponding to a difference between a voltage of a direct current system power supply and a previously set target voltage; and a power supply circuit (10), which includes a switching element having a heat sink attached thereto, and which performs switching of the switching element on the basis of the PWM signal, and which outputs a direct current system power supply from an alternating current power supply given from the outside. The power supply control unit (10) operates a protection mechanism of the power supply circuit corresponding to the fact that a period of time when a change rate of temperature information obtained from a first temperature sensor (THSEN1) attached to the heat sink is equal to or higher than a protection start temperature change rate is equal to or more than a previously set protection start threshold time.
