Abstract:
A power output device provided with a continuously variable transmission, wherein an input cone connected to an input shaft and an output cone connected to an output shaft are disposed in opposite directions to one another, and a ring is pinched with a pinching force, which increases as the torque that acts on the output shaft increases, according to a pinching force adjustment mechanism that converts the torque that acts on the output shaft into a force in the direction of the output shaft. An engine (12) is controlled in such a manner that when the ring position (Pr) is within a predetermined range on the large-diameter side (S110), the torque that is inputted to the input shaft (32) is restricted (S130).
