Abstract:
A power generation device equipped with: a main shaft rotated by means of an external force; a speed increaser; a high-speed shaft; bearings; a power generator; and a unidirectional clutch provided between an output gear and the high-speed shaft. When the main shaft is rotating in the normal direction and the rotational speed of the output gear exceeds the rotational speed of the high-speed shaft, the unidirectional clutch connects the output gear and the high-speed shaft such that they are capable of rotating in unison, and when the rotational speed of the output gear falls below the rotational speed of the high-speed shaft, the connection between the output gear and the high-speed shaft is broken.
