Abstract:
A power distribution system according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a power supply unit insulated from the ground by a resistance value that is equal to or greater than a predetermined ground resistance value, and including an intermediate tap, a first terminal having a first voltage with respect to the intermediate tap, and a second terminal having a second voltage with respect to the intermediate tap; two or more power lines including a first power line that has one end electrically connected to the first terminal of the power supply unit, and a second power line that has one end electrically connected to the second terminal of the power supply unit, wherein a first leakage current flows in the first power line when the first power line is submerged, and a second leakage current flows in the second power line when the second power line is submerged; and a fault detector that has one end electrically connected to the intermediate tap and is configured to detect the current flowing to the intermediate tap due to the first and second leakage currents. Accordingly, the present invention not only limits leakage current so as not to exceed a dangerous current when an electric line is submerged, but also detects whether the electric line is submerged, thus having the effects of preventing electric shock from leakage currents due to submersion and quickly stopping the spread of electrical accidents.
