Abstract:
This power conversion device (1), which converts generated power from a power generation device (2) to power that is applied to a load (3), is equipped with: a diode (11) for preventing backflow to the power generation device (2); a converter (13) for converting generated power from the power generation device (2) to power that is applied to the load (3); and a capacitor (12) connected to wiring X connecting the diode (11) and the converter (13). The converter (13) operates under voltage control of the capacitor (12) such that the voltage of the capacitor (12) reaches a preset voltage command value VC. When the voltage of the capacitor (12) falls below an operation-stopping voltage VL which is lower than the voltage command value VC, the operation is stopped, and when the voltage of the capacitor (12) exceeds an operation-starting voltage VH which is higher than the operation-stopping voltage VL, the operation is started.
