Abstract:
A power conversion device outputs an AC power having a voltage different from an input voltage and is characterized by: having at least three units to which phase voltages are respectively applied; having a plurality of cell converters in each of the units, said cell converters each having input and output portions isolated by a high-frequency transformer and being connected in series on the input side of each of the units; and being provided with a short-circuit portion for short-circuiting the input terminals of each of the cell converters.
