Abstract:
A power conversion device (1) is provided with: a power conversion unit (11) that outputs power by converting input power; a regular control unit (15) that controls the power conversion unit (11); and a protection control unit (16) that performs protection operations with respect to the power conversion unit (11). The regular control unit (15) outputs a control signal on the basis of, for instance, a current command value corresponding to the target value of the output of the power conversion unit (11), and an output current of the power conversion unit (11), said control signal controlling switching to turn on/off a switching element of the power conversion unit (11). The protection control unit (16) stops the power conversion performed by the power conversion unit (11) in the cases where a value equivalent to the output power of the power conversion unit (11) is not within a target power range determined corresponding to the target value of the output.
