Abstract:
A power battery charging method and apparatus. The method comprises: determining, according to battery parameters corresponding to a power battery, the maximum charging current value corresponding to the power battery; determining whether a charging current adjustment switch is turned on; if the charging current adjustment switch is turned on, acquiring a preset charging current value, determining a target charging current value according to the maximum charging current value and the preset charging current value, and sending the target charging current value to a target charging pile, such that the target charging pile charges the power battery on the basis of the target charging current value; and if the charging current adjustment switch is not turned on, sending the maximum charging current value to the target charging pile, such that the target charging pile charges the power battery on the basis of the maximum charging current value. A battery management system can control a charging pile to charge a power battery on the basis of a current value desired by a vehicle owner, such that the number of times that the charging pile charges the power battery on the basis of a larger current can be reduced, and thus the service life of each battery cell in the power battery can be prolonged.
