Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a silicon-containing polymer compound which has a novel function and to which is imparted the characteristic that the fluidity thereof can be controlled by an optical stimulus; and a method capable of efficiently synthesizing the polymer compound with the molecular stability thereof maintained. [Solution] This polymer compound is characterized by having a main chain structure including a silicon-containing polymer, and having N-number of moiety structures represented by formula (1) at a terminal or side chain of the main chain structure (N is two or more). (In the formula, * represents a bonding point to the main chain structure; L represents a direct bond, a silicon-containing spacer group, or a C1-C5 alkylene group; each occurrence of Ra independently represents a C1-C5 alkyl group; each occurrence of R1 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, or 1-4 identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, a sulfo group, a carboxy group, an ester group, a thioester group, a dithioester group, a carbonate group, a thiocarbonate group, a dithiocarbonate group, a trithiocarbonate group, a carbamate group, a thiocarbamate group, a dithiocarbamate group, an ether group, a hydroxy group, a thiol group, a sulfide group, a disulfide group, a silyl group, an amino group, and an amide group, which are each optionally substituted; and each occurrence of R2 and R3 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, or 1-5 identical or different substituents selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, a sulfo group, a carboxy group, an ester group, a thioester group, a dithioester group, a carbonate group, a thiocarbonate group, a dithiocarbonate group, a trithiocarbonate group, a carbamate group, a thiocarbamate group, a dithiocarbamate group, an ether group, a hydroxy group, a thiol group, a sulfide group, a disulfide group, a silyl group, an amino group, and an amide group, which are each optionally substituted.)
