Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire consisting of a plurality of tread blocks partitioned by a plurality of longitudinal grooves and a plurality of transverse grooves intersecting the longitudinal grooves, wherein, on the surface of the tread blocks, one or more two-in-one kerfs are formed, which are composed of a pair of transverse kerfs starting from both outer walls which face each other and are at the same height in the circumferential direction of the tire, are bent at a certain point, diverge and extend at a predetermined distance apart, and terminate within the blocks. According to the present invention, both an improvement in performance on icy road surfaces and an improvement in performance on dry and wet road surfaces, which are in a trade-off relationship with each other, may be achieved.
