Abstract:
A planar illumination device (1) according to an embodiment comprises a substrate (3), a plurality of light sources (4) in a first group, and one or more light sources (5) in a second group. Prescribed electrical wiring is applied to the substrate (3). The plurality of light sources (4) in the first group are disposed across substantially the entire surface of the substrate (3). The one or more light sources (5) in the second group are disposed adjacent to the plurality of light sources (4) in the first group within a prescribed region on the substrate (3).
