Abstract:
A piston structure for an engine according to the present invention is provided with outer peripheral edge parts (6) having preset thicknesses and being formed along the contour of a piston (1), a pair of substantially cylindrical piston pin support parts (7) each having a peripheral wall (7b) of a prescribed thickness, and connection parts (8) that connect the pair of piston pin support parts (7) to the outer peripheral edge parts (6), wherein: the outer peripheral edge parts (6) and the peripheral walls (7b) of the piston pin support parts (7) are solid; the connection parts (8) are porous; and the outer peripheral edge parts (6), the piston pin support parts (7), and the connection parts (8) are formed integrally with one another by metal members.
