Abstract:
Disclosed are a piston core pin capable of dispensing a more precise amount of liquid sample by reducing the volume of an air cushion in the lower part of a piston, and an air displacement pipette comprising same. This piston core comprises a piston, a piston core pin, and a pusher rod. The piston is formed to be in contact with the inner surface of a pipette housing and has a hole formed therein. The piston core pin is formed to have a rod shape in which a cross-sectional shape that is the same as the hole of the piston extends, a lower portion of the piston core pin is supported by the pipette, and an air path, through which the air can pass, is formed in the lower portion. The pusher rod moves the piston in the pipette. According to the piston core, the volume of the air cushion in the lower part of the piston is reduced, and thus more precise amount of liquid sample can be dispensed.
