Abstract:
This coupling method for pipe joints involves: preparing a first pipe member (4), a second pipe member (6), a pressing member (10) that is stored in a housing (8) and presses a second flange section (18) of the second pipe member (6) toward a first flange section (16) of the first pipe member (4), and the housing (8) that is provided with a first opening (22), a second opening (24), a third opening (26), flange storage spaces (1) and (32), and storage spaces (2) and (28) communicatively connected with the flange storage spaces (1) and (32) and storing the pressing member (10); inserting the first pipe member (4) from the second opening (24) toward the first opening (22) so as to lock the first flange section (16) in the flange storage spaces (1) and (32); inserting the second pipe member (6) from the second flange section (18) through the second opening (24) so as to cause the second flange section (18) to be in contact with the first flange section (16); and inserting the pressing member (10) from the third opening (26) and storing the pressing member (10) in the storage spaces (2) and (28) so as to press the second flange section (18) against the first flange section (16) and form a sealing part that provides a seal between the first flange section (16) and the second flange section (18).
