Abstract:
Provided is a piercing machine with which the control of the advancement speed of a cutter can be easily performed by means of a manual turning operation of a handle. This piercing machine 5 for piercing a portion of a fluid pipe 1 in an uninterrupted flow state comprises: a shaft member 54 having a cutter 52 attached to a tip thereof; a driving means 55 that enables the cutter 52 and the shaft member 54 to rotate about the axis of the shaft member 54; and an advancing/retreating operation means 56 that enables the cutter 52 and the shaft member 54 to advance/retreat in the axial direction of the shaft member 54 by means of a manual turning operation of a handle 56a, wherein the advancing/retreating operation means 56 is able to switch the feeding amount in the axial direction of the cutter 52 and the shaft member 54 between at least two stages in accordance with the turning operation amount of the handle 56a.
