Abstract:
A pierce nut equipped with a main body section, a sheet-shaped plateau-like section provided near the center of a flat surface in the main body section, and a pilot section which projects in an extension direction from near the center of a terrace surface provided to the plateau-like section, wherein: the terrace surface of the plateau-like section is formed so as to rise up from the flat surface; the peripheral surface of the pilot section and the terrace surface of the plateau-like section are connected to one another by a neck region between the plateau-like section and the pilot section, causing a gap to be formed near the neck section; and a first cross-sectional shape of the pilot section on a first intersecting surface which intersects the extension direction is an n-cornered shape (n is a natural number of 4 or higher).
