Abstract:

The present invention relates to a photocatalyst activated by visible light. The photocatalyst is a dioxygen molybdate, in which dioxygen (O2) forms a bond with a molybdate, or a hydrate thereof. In addition, a method for preparing the photocatalyst activated by visible light, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: (A) dissolving a molybdate or a hydrate thereof in water; (B) oxidizing the molybdate or a hydrate thereof; (C) neutralizing the product of step (B); and (D) recovering the product of step (C).
