Abstract:
Provided is pasting paper formed of a non-woven fabric using at least three kinds of fibers as constituent materials. In a lead acid storage battery, the pasting paper has a function of preventing the detachment of an active material during assembly of the battery, and prevents stratification of an electrolytic solution caused by charging/discharging of the lead acid storage battery. Regarding reduction of battery characteristics due to the change in size of the active material resulting from repetition of battery cycles, the pasting paper suppresses reduction of charging acceptability of the lead acid storage battery by lowering an internal resistance value of the lead acid storage battery while maintaining prevention of the detachment of the active material and preventing the stratification of the electrolytic solution. The pasting paper for lead acid storage batteries is formed of a non-woven fabric comprising at least glass fibers, organic fibers having acid resistance, and organic fibers not having acid resistance, and is characterized in that the non-woven fabric has a wettability of 20 sec/mL or less, and a maximum pore diameter of 70 μm or less.
