Abstract:
A parallel link robot comprising a base section, movable sections (3) arranged below the base section, a plurality of arms connecting the base section and the movable sections (3) in a parallel manner, and a wrist shaft (5) that passes through the movable sections (3) along an axis (A) extending vertically therethrough and is rotationally driven around the axis (A) with respect to the movable sections (3). A tool attachment section for detachably attaching a positioning tool (10) is provided to either the upper surface (3a) of the movable sections (3) or the upper section of the wrist shaft (5) exposed on the upper surfaces (3a). A contact surface (51) that is brought into contact with the positioning tool (10) attached to the tool attachment section is provided to the other of the movable sections (3) and the wrist shaft (5). Alternatively, a contact member comprising the contact surface (51) can be detachably attached, and it is possible to detect a predetermined phase of the wrist shaft (5) around the axis (A) with respect to the movable sections (3) by means of the positioning tool (10) when the positioning tool (10) attached to the tool attachment section is in contact with the contact surface (51).
