Abstract:
This parallel link mechanism comprises three or more link mechanisms for linking a fixed base and an end effector base, the end effector base having a facing surface that faces the fixed base, the link mechanisms each having a proximal-part-side joint that is rotatably linked to the fixed base, a proximal-part-side link that is linked to the proximal-part-side joint, an intermediate joint that is provided to the proximal-part-side link, a distal-end-side link that is rotatably linked to the proximal-part-side link via the intermediate joint, and a distal-end-side joint that rotatably links the distal-end-side link and the end effector base, an intersection point at which an extension line of a rotating shaft of each proximal-part-side joint, an extension line of a rotating shaft of each intermediate joint, and an extension line of a rotating shaft of each distal-end-side joint intersect one another serving as the center of rotation of the end effector base, and the center of rotation of the end effector base being positioned in a first direction from the facing surface.
