This pant-type absorbent article comprises: an absorbent body containing a longitudinally elongate absorbent core; an exterior body bonded to a non-skin side of the absorbent body; a waist opening through which a wearer's torso is inserted; a pair of left and right leg openings through which the wearer's legs are inserted; a front body to be located on the wearer's front side; and a back body to be located on the wearer's back side. The pant-type absorbent article has a body length direction and a width direction perpendicular to the body length direction. In the front body, a plurality of stretchable elastic bodies extending along the width direction are provided along the body length direction, whereby contraction stress of the elastic bodies in the width direction is applied to the exterior body. The absorbent core is provided along the body length direction. In the front body, at a location in the body length direction where the exterior body and the absorbent core overlap, the exterior body has a plurality of stress band regions in which the contraction stress of the elastic bodies in the width direction differs from each other in the body length direction. The stiffness of the absorbent core is different from region to region among the plurality of stress band regions. The order of the strength of the contraction stress of the elastic bodies and the order of the level of the stiffness of the absorbent core are in a corresponding relationship.
