Abstract:
An outer ring power control method for high-speed physical downlink shared channel (HS-PDSCH) and a device thereof are disclosed. The method includes: all channel quality indicators (CQI) reported by a user equipment (UE) are classified by a high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) dispatcher. A corresponding outer ring regulating unit value K and an outer ring regulating value are configured respectively for each classification of CQIs, and the outer ring regulating values are initialized to be 0 respectively. For dispatching packages that correspond to an acknowledge response (ACK) returned by the UE, the HSPDA dispatcher raises by J the outer ring regulating value which corresponds to the CQIs on which the dispatching packages are based. For dispatching packages that correspond to a non-acknowledge response (NACK) returned by the UE, the HSPDA dispatcher lowers by J*K the outer ring regulating value which corresponds to the CQIs on which the dispatching packages are based. The size of a transmission block for the next dispatch is chosen by the HSDPA dispatcher according to the regulated outer ring regulating value.
