Abstract:
Provided is an optical transmission device with which it is possible to arrange dummy light in accordance with the arrangement of an optical signal. A multiplexing unit (1) accepts as input a plurality of optical signals differing in the frequency arranged on a frequency grid and multiplexes the plurality of inputted optical signals. A dummy light output unit (2) specifies dummy light (D) to be arranged on the frequency grid, on the basis of the plurality of optical signals, and outputs the dummy light (D). A multiplexing unit (3) multiplexes the optical signal (LC) multiplexed by the multiplexing unit (1) and the dummy light (D) outputted from the dummy light output unit (2) and outputs a wavelength multiplexed optical signal L.
