Abstract:
Provided are an optical system and an imaging device having the optical system. The optical system has, arranged in order from the object side, a first lens group which has positive refractive power, a second lens group which has negative refractive power, and a third lens group which has positive or negative refractive power. When focusing, the second lens group moves, while the first lens group and the third lens group are fixed. When the lateral multiplying power of the third lens group during infinity focusing is set as b3, the distance to an imaging plane from the side surface of the entire optical system closest to an object is set as OAL, the focal length of the entire optical system during infinity focusing is set as f, and the maximum lateral multiplying power of the entire optical system is set as B, the following is satisfied: (0.80≤b3), (OAL/f≤2.00), and (0.50≤|B|).
